Upstairs Neighbor Project

My upstairs neighbor lives her life in stereo, meaning I hear everything.
Recognizing the opportunity of such close proximity to a character constantly revealing herself, I am a rapt audience for every exclamation.
The countless intimate details I know about this woman’s life have over time created an extremely detailed character profile, solely lacking physical appearance.
New York City being so vast yet so accessible gives me plausible reason to believe that my upstairs neighbor could be anywhere I am.
Armed with a myriad of personality characteristics to narrow down specimen, I began drawing colored marker portraits of women I saw who could be by neighbor, and jotting down a [potential] new fact I’d learned about her.
Intending to draw enough people that by the time I inevitably meet/see my upstairs neighbor, I will have drawn someone physically similar, this format was taking too long.
I switched to carrying a small notebook around, filling it with more cartoon sketches, prioritizing quantity, diversity and expression.
